New life in Hong Kong!
After 4 years in Singapore, we have moved to Hong Kong! As of August 2016, we have arrived in Hong bloody Kong. I kicked and screamed all the way. Because it is an even ruder city, less organized, more chaotic.
Like in Singapore, my kids are also in a top international school in Hong Kong. It is south of Hong Kong Island, of course.
We live Southside with amazing views & a marina nearby. Thanks to the infamous Hong Kong Facebook group Hong Kong Moms (NOT calling themselves expats unlike the Singapore group), I was able to find a British lady who runs a business helping new HK families find a home and settle in.
We have re-hired my first FDW I had when I was in Singapore, the first helper who did not know how to care for a baby. Well, that baby is now 3 going on 4 and we're in HK.
She worked for us a long time ago in Singapore. Other than baby experience, I never had any major issues with her. She has known both my girls since they were little. We kept in touch on Facebook. I do owe a lot to Facebook. Ironically these days, I prefer Twitter and Instagram.
